The original photographs of the doll named Wanderer were taken over a period of two months in the fall of 2012. The objects she appears with had been collected by the house's dozen different owners over the course of 200 years. The landscapes and patterns surrounding her adventures are drawn from photographs of the island the house inhabits, most taken between 2010 and 2012.
As in every Tarot reading, or every dream, the places and objects are both entirely themselves, and also something wholly other. If I could, I would invite visitors to rearrange the the pictures to tell their own stories.
